“A Tale of Two Counties: PSAP Efficiency Tips You Can
Take to the Bank”
PSAPs handle thousands of reproduction requests each year
and such requests are on the rise. While voice recordings are vital to
investigations and prosecutions – increasingly, other forms of multimedia, such
as text and video, are finding their way into the chain of evidence too. This
presentation will show how two progressive County PSAPs – Thurston Co (Olympia,
WA) and Monterey Co (CA) – are gearing up for the multimedia challenges of Next
Generation 9-1-1, while employing new technology and processes to improve
efficiency by as much as 75%, handling more reproduction requests in less time.
