Tuesday, October 13th
from 11:00 – 11:50
Ray Preston
Technical Sales Consultant – Public Safety (AL)
AT&T
“E911 – 911 101”
Thinking E9-1-1-1-0-1 is a typo? Nope! Uh-uh! Nada!
This is a session for those folks new to E9-1-1 who simply need to understand
the basics of Enhanced 9-1-1. It will explain some of the traditional terms
used in E9-1-1, and will show how an E9-1-1 call gets from the phone in that
burning house to the correct E9-1-1 center and delivers the caller’s location
information there as well. If you want “Next Gen” or “VoIP” or “Phase
whatever,” this session is not for you – but if you need understanding of the
basics of E9-1-1, this is it!
